The German-speaking area is a strategical target for Pentalog, on the one Hand because its offshore team in Romania and Moldova include German speakers and on the other hand because the German IT market is the biggest-one in Europe. Software development and IT consulting companies need to find news ways of remaining competitive and thus have shown a growing interest in offshore outsourcing solutions.

In October Pentalog visited the “SYSTEMS” trade fair in Munich and met several IT managers.
They generally recognized that the alternative of Eastern Europe is particularly favourable: German is commonly practiced in certain regions, IT professionals are recognized as highly skilled labour and the geographic and cultural proximity are also important factors in project management. They also told us about some negative experiences they made with India, due to communication problems and cultural misunderstanding.

This shows once again that the offshore outsourcing question is on all IT businessmen’s minds and that Eastern Europe offshore production centers are gaining a greater importance than ever.
