Hitachi : tracking
systems |

Project information |
Project description |
| Client:
Hitachi Computer Products S.A.S. is Hitachi’s
European information systems production centre |
This project consisted in
setting up a tracking system for
all the input components of RAID storage
bays in order to meet the ecological
regulation and also to be able to check
up the products’ quality (cards, electronic,
cables, components consumables).
This software had to be integrated
in the production process without making
it tedious. So each PC was equipped with
a wireless barcode scanner or PDA with bar
code scanner in order to scan all the identified
components as soon as they are in the warehouse.
The PC and PDA software use a thin client
(JSP) and a Wi-Fi network ensures communication
with the server.
Pentalog’s team carried
out the analysis and the development phases
for this software, chose the PDA and also
did the complementary developments required
in order to meet the user’s needs
and improve their productivity. |
